MIR

The International Museum of the Reformation

The International Museum of the Reformation, the only one of its kind in the world, presents a secular version of the history of the Reformation and Protestantism from the 16th century to the present day. Created in 2005, the museum is housed in a mansion built in 1723 on the site of the Cathedral's former cloister, in the heart of the old town. The exhibitions take place on the first floor and in the basement of this listed building. Its approach is international and pluralistic. It offers two different spaces: one dedicated to the permanent exhibition, A History of the Reformation, the other to temporary exhibitions.
