ART AND REFORM
MIR Guided Tour
For this 38th edition of AVV, the MIR invites you to a tour that blends art history with the history of the Reformation.
Guided tour with Elonora Pimponi, art historian
What if the Reformation were also told through images? The International Museum of the Reformation invites you to discover the permanent exhibition from a unique perspective, at the intersection of art history and the history of the Reformation.
Through iconic works—from portraits of Martin Luther produced by the Cranach workshop to the painting *Old Woman Reading the Bible* by Karel van der Pluym—the tour reveals how images accompanied the debates, crises, and spiritual transformations.
Spanning the Middle Ages and the modern era, this tour offers a framework for understanding how art plays a central role in the history of the Reformation.
