Fragiles – Guided Tour with Gisèle Bonin

Guided Tour at 12:00 p.m.

During this tour, Gisèle Bonin opens up her creative process: the texture of the paper, the slow, deliberate movements, and what lies hidden behind a fragment of the body.

In person, she will reflect on her longstanding commitment to asylum seekers, the encounters that have inspired this work, and what has always driven her to draw what cannot be put into words. A moment of dialogue, on equal footing, with the artist.

Presented at the MABE Gallery, the exhibition *Fragiles* brings together the work of Gisèle Bonin, whose practice explores the notions of fragment, memory, and stolen intimacy. Drawing (red chalk, graphite, charcoal), photography, and installation intersect in a reflection on exile, absence, and bodies that carry—without speaking of them—terrible stories.

Through the texture of the paper and the slowness of her brushstrokes, the artist constructs a language in which each fragment of a body becomes the site of a presence that is both modest and deeply moving.
