Modern and Contemporary Art
Larry Gagosian opened his first gallery in Los Angeles in 1980, specializing in modern and contemporary art. In the past decades, Gagosian Gallery has evolved into a global network with fifteen exhibition spaces in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Rome, Athens, Geneva, and Hong Kong.
Gagosian’s vibrant contemporary program features the work of leading international artists including Anselm Kiefer, Ed Ruscha, Albert Oehlen, Richard Prince, and Jenny Saville.
Additionally, unparalleled historical exhibitions are prepared and presented on the work of legendary artists such as Picasso, De Kooning, Giacometti, Henri Moore, and Cy Twombly.
The gallery also publishes scholarly exhibition catalogues and artist monographs, as well as annotated catalogues. Gagosian opened in Geneva in 2010 and expanded into a new ground floor space in the fall of 2015.
