Rosa Turetsky Gallery

Yves Dana
Recent work

The Swiss artist Yves Dana exhibits around 10 scultpures at the Rosa Turetsky contemporary art gallery.

The artist uses bronze and various stones, like basalt and diabase - he is in a search of pure essentiel forms, inspired by a trip the artist did recently in Japan. The works, which rise like stele from some ancient civilisation, they are dense, archetypical and essential in their simplified complexities. Dana makes archaic - hieratic - forms, both vertical and horizontal that speak not to memories of a biographic narrative, but to a universal and transcendental story.
