Materials effects
For his new exhibition Patrick Gutknecht gallery present a selection of pieces of furniture, lamps, objects and photographs dating from 1920 to today. The common point between them is the variety of the materials used as well as their multiple and unexpected effects : exotic wood veneers, shagreen, parchment, nickeled, chromed or gilded metal, patinated bronze, colored fractal resin, polished or sanded glass, bohemian cristal or eggshell, to name only a few, and realized by artists such as Jacques Adnet, Thomas Balaÿ, Cédric Delsaux, Desny, Jean Dunand, Jean-Claude Farhi, Jean-Michel Frank, Alberto et Diego Giacometti, François Godebski, Jean-Baptiste Huynh, Jean Pascaud, Willy Rizzo, Serge Roche, Edouard-Marcel Sandoz ou André Sornay.
