For its second open invitation exhibition, the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire (MAH) has called upon Jean-Hubert Martin, the renowned curator who has been influential in the world of art for more than four decades, to cast his eye on the Museum’s collection.
Diving into the MAH’s archives, this great art historian and museum figure takes us on an excursion. Via more than five hundred pieces on loan from every area of art and history, the public is encouraged to observe, feel and take in the shared treasures that are the fascinating diversity of the collection.Through play, disorientation and analogy, key and known pieces from the Museum come into simple and uninhibited conversation with unique objects that have at times escaped our attention.The journey restores our trust in our emotional strength. A new light is cast on the Museum and it becomes the stage of our desires.
