ERRÓ
With Erró, at first there is a collage, the meeting of two or more images cut out from Russian satirical newspapers, American fanzines, Japanese manga, European comic strips or any other publication containing images, the contiguity of which amazes or delight. Through these pile-ups that abolish time and space, Erró underlines an aspect of society, highlights a political event or quite simply points out the fun of improbable couplings.
From these collages come the luminous and powdery watercolors which condense and smooth the assembly.
For this exhibition, we have brought together watercolors made between 1982 and 2003, most of which were exhibited at the Musée d'Art Contemporain in Lyon from October 2014 to February 2015 during the important Erró retrospective.
The artist will be present at the opening on May 20.
