Holland interior paintings

Salomon Lilian gallery will show for its next exhibition a range of interior paintings .

From peasants and tavern scenes to more elegant guardrooms, these typical pictures reflect the identity of the Dutch school. They were quite unusual in Europe in the 17 th century.

The current exposition about Vermeer in the Louvre is another example of this style. Salomon Lilian 's exposition will propose works by artists such as Thomas de Keyser, David Teniers, Adriaen van Ostade or Gerrit Dou.
