Born in 1953, DANIEL BERSET presently lives and works in Geneva, Swizerland. The artist, trained at the Middlesex Polytechnic School of London, has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards including the Federal Fine Arts Scholarships (Swiss Art Award.

In 1982, DANIEL BERSET, using 3 dimensions anamorphosis, queries and challenges the point of view and perspective of the viewer. Ever since then and until today, "the chair" used as a conundrum and riddle, has been the perennial subject of his work (See: Chair).
Since 1990 until today, he questions our inherent relationship to the pedestal with such works as « Moncreux »,« Mae de Agua »… Daniel has lived and worked in Spain, France, Australia and the UK. The year 1997 was highlighted by the creation of his acclaimed piece "Broken Chair" which rapidly became a symbol and emblem for the Place des Nations, in front of the United Nation building in Geneva.

He has participated in over 60 group exhibitions in Switzerland as well as abroad. His works and his in situ installations are displayed in many public and private spaces.
