Galerie Grand-Rue

The Mountains of Jean-Antoine Linck and his contemporaries

On the occasion of the next exhibition of Art en Vieille-Ville, the Galerie Grand-Rue shall present a beautiful selection of mountainscapes with a special focus upon the work of the artist Jean-Antoine Linck (1766-1843) and his contemporaries.

Visitors will be afforded the opportunity to discover a magnificent pair of original gouaches depicting the Glacier des Bois and the Mer de Glace, as well as numerous other examples of engraved watercolours by Linck. Engravings by Jean-Philippe Linck (1770-1812), the brother of Jean-Antoine, and by Carl Hackert (1740-1796), shall also be on display.

Original watercolours by Gabriel Lory (1763-1840) and his son (1784-1846) shall complete the ensemble of works being presented.
